The Gorakhpur unit is locate at a site about
12 km. north from Gorakhpur town in eastern part of U.P.
it has excellent connectivity by road and rail.

| CCOMMENCEMENT
The unit was commisioned in 1969 for
Urea production with Naptha as feed stock. The plant capacity
of 570 TPD was subsequently enhanced to 950 TPD in the

Best achieved
capacity utilisation 94.8% in 1971-72 and 72.6% in
1976-77.
However th operation of the plant has
been suspended from 1990, due to non
viable economic
